Laibach and York is a luxury eyewear brand from Slovenia which creates frames of stunning design in eye catching colours and of impeccable quality.

All our frames are beautifully handmade in our in-house manufacturing facility using exclusive Italian acetate and premium hardware and sold only at the finest optical boutiques throughout Europe, North America, Canada, Kuwait and Australia.

The brand Laibach and York was founded in 2013 and has been crafting eyewear ever since. Founder Blaž Oberč is an industrial designer with a Master’s in eye optics and designed eyewear for multiple reputable brands for many years.

In 2013 he decided to create his own label accessible to all under he name Laibach and York – from Laibach, the historical name of Slovenia’s capital city, and York which represents his love of his time spent in Toronto.

Capital Collection

The capital collection is the heart of Laibach & York. Each of these frames is named after capital cities around the world. With an explosion of colours, it’s made with love for every personal style.

Thin Collection

Frames in our thin collection are ultra-light and extremely thin. These frames are well-balanced and will fit both women and men in style and size.

With fifteen different shapes, each in three different colours, this collection guarantees that anyone can find their perfect frame, with the perfect style and perfect fit. We wouldn’t want it any other way.

Anglo American Optical

Founded in London in 1882, Anglo American Optical has over 120 years of frame making experience. Known for their retro and classical elements in frames, the brand has continued to produce high quality hand-made frames that cater to all audiences. Anglo American Optical uses cotton-based hypo-allergenic cellulose acetate for its frames rather than petroleum-based plastic to prevent both skin irritation and the tendency to crack easily. Different alloys such as nickel, stainless steel, titanium, and copper are used to keep weight down and comfort up.

The Christian Lacroix Optical Collection exudes luxury, originality and refinement. Patterns such as the signature “Paseo” can be found pressed into metal and tips are luxuriously finished with the house’s signature baroque monogram.

Henry Beaumont has been supplying quality eyewear solely to UK independent practices for many years

Henry Beaumont does not supply any products to the national chains of optical retailers. Beautiful exclusive ranges of glasses available at the Richard Tildesley Practice include Bauhaus, Moda, Prestige and Couture.

Cazal

When passion for a product is reflected in the design, there is no-one like Cari Zalloni, whose eyewear designs became a cult in the 80s. He was a visionary who revolutionised eyewear design and created trends that were way ahead of their time, second to none. He crafted an extraordinary style that polarised opinions and has cast a spell over his fans to this day.

CAZAL defined the typical hip-hop look of the 80s like no other brand. Some of the legendary designs from that era are still trendsetting even now. Eyewear lovingly nicknamed “Cazzy” by its fans.

The creative genius of the charismatic designer Cari Zalloni carries on, even after his sudden death in 2012. Inspired by him, his design team will continue to create a collection that sets standards and immortalises his spirit.

Silhouette

What began in 1964 as a vision of glasses as a decorative device, is today the world’s leading brand of light and high quality glasses – Silhouette.

This is the brand of the world’s lightest glasses, made with great attention to detail, a large proportion of work by hand, an individual design approach and the use of the best materials and the latest technology. Made in Austria, they are exported to 100 countries worldwide. In 1999 Silhouette revolutionized the eyeglass world with its Titan Minimal Art glasses weighing only 1.8 grams, without screws, hinges or rims.
